Day of the Sandhill Cranes  
cranes can be seen (and heard) as they follow ancient routes in high
altitude "V" formations. While at their winter homes in California's great
Central Valley there is also a daily migration, flying from wetland roosts
where they gather together to safely spend the night to nearby fields to
feed and spend the day. The daily migration brings them back to the
wetlands each evening. This is the day of the Sandhill Cranes.

Ultimately,
Day of the Sandhill Cranes will be one piece of a multi-media
puzzle that is under developement. It will include
field stereo audio from
Prior to the release of the
Hybrid DVD a solo DVD of the film is
available as a fund raiser for
Save Our Sandhill Cranes.

This web video is "autoload". Let it load and it will start when it is ready.
After it has played completely through the controls will become active.
Be patient and let it load. At 99.7 mb (web encode of 700 kbps) you
might just go get a cup of coffee while it loads. It is also set to loop (by
request) to serve as a audio background while working at the computer.

Galt Winter Bird Festival
on 1/17/09.
