In order to most efficiently distribute the hundreds of photos that
ShareTheRoad Productions took of this live performance event we have
created the DVD ROM (data disk) of  jpg images - PhotoDVD. We have
removed images that do not meet our standards but have left images
that probably are not traditional "print quality" because they speak to
the moment and some are just amazing (soft focus, low light grain,
zooms and motion blurs).

The PhotoDVD displays the photographs in a gallery format like you
find on our web site. It is meant to be viewed with a browser (like
Internet Explorer). You can point your browser to the index.html
file or (even easier) just open the DVD with Explorer (or My Computer)
and double click on the Image_Gallery/index.html file. Your
computer will load the browser and open a page with the first page of
the index. Open your browser window to full screen size and you can
blow up any image  and scroll around to check out detail - just click on
it.

The images can be printed directly from the  PhotoDVD at a local drug
store. The jpg files will make very nice 4x6 or 5x7 prints. You can print
your own enlargements or you can import the jpg files into a photo
editing program and edit them yourself. To print a photo, find the .jpg
file in the Image_Gallery/original folder on the DVD. The
image file name appears on the top of the page when you open the
image in the gallery.

You may need a more professional edit and enlargement for display. If
there is an image that you want to frame and display in your home or
office you don't want to use a jpg file and have it printed at K-Mart.

We use digital SLR cameras that save the images in jpg and RAW file
format simultaneously. Raw files are extremely high resolution and are
designed to be edited by advanced software. Our forte' is in
post-production, digital darkroom editing and high quality archival
printing.

While viewing the photos on the data disk, allow your imagination to
find ways to crop and edit the image to most dramatically reveal the
intensity of the moment. Go beyond the limits of what can be done
with film and allow yourself to express artistically through the
photograph. We can help you to use the photograph to express that
which cannot be said in words, or in a thousand words.

That's what we do.

The rates listed in the table to the right are all inclusive (consultation,

Although not a perfect studio portrait, this
picture captures the spirit of the moment in a
way that no studio pose could. That's the beauty
of live performance photography.

Unfortunately shooting in available light
sometimes results in less than perfect exposures.
To bring out the detail in Erin's eyes and hair the
image was slightly lightened while the color
saturation in the background was enhanced.

A very mild noise reduction was added to
smooth the skin tone. Then sharpening was
added to the eyes, hair and sequins.

Finally, a tight 8x10 crop adds presence.

The energy, presence and beauty of this
performer is brought out while keeping the
nightclub-like ambiance.

The result is a pro image suitable for display.
